WIP

tired and with a stomach ache, i present to you an unfinished sketch. i am trying to work on a few things here… expression, posture, and long hair. i will continue to work on this over the next couple days. i am trying to see if i can get the opening to a story out of my head. in the meantime, this will have to do.

Now it is off to bed, history of rome and snuggles.

this maybe be why i was so confused…

by Ponyo. a very cute and great docile movie. strange to see after Basterds… but hey, we are all contradictions. i totally was only able to parse LOVE as romantic love. so i felt a little weird about the movie.
...does "the trial" end in a wedding?

i guess it’s actually about SIBLING love and protecting your family. i get it now. but at the movie i was weirded out by MILK talk.

eli roth…

i have always enjoyed the comic book nature of Tarantino’s visuals and how he can coax such an intense performance from every actor. it’s always a visceral experience. eli roth really impressed me. knowing now that he isn’t really an actor, but a director of horror films, i can’t help but feel that the rage in his eyes is real.

we just got back from a cinemagic showing of Inglorious Basterds. i can talk about it more later… but man, it was intense. i wish it was a movie about Brad Pitt being awesome and having a great Appalachian accent and a big knife.

harry vs dead cedric… cullen?

had a little fun tonight messing with painter. started drawing a dude and anne was like… “are you drawing R. Pats?” so i drew Edward Cullen. the i felt compelled to draw the HP.

and then i thought about them fighting.
and it was cool.

The Sicilian Crowd

I’m reading Foley the Princess Bride right now. She’s never read the book, or even seen the movie, which I literally cannot understand. It is such a sleepover staple. Anyway, I asked her to draw some of the characters, because I am curious how someone would envision them without seeing the movie. Here’s her quick sketch of Fezzik, Inigo, and the Sicilian.

Because even then, two were company and three were a crowd.
